It feels cliché to say, but I’m having so much fun experiencing all of Audrey’s firsts. First babbles, first swims, first foods, first holidays. It all seems so new and exciting to her, which makes it new and exciting for us. I told you last time about her first “Mama”, but there’s so much more […]
It came like a lightening bolt. Those two syllables that rock your world. “Ma Ma” and “Da Da” They came out of nowhere.
As we dive deeper into Owen’s 4th year of life, I’m starting to truly fear the teen years. I feel like there are times I’m getting a little taste of what life will be like, all while he is still little and charming—you know before he needs deodorant. Somewhere near the middle of his second […]
What an amazing first Mother’s Day! I knew it would be a special weekend because it was also Audrey’s baby dedication at my home church. This was the church I was dedicated in, grew up in, got married in and now am sharing another special milestone in that special place. Having her dedication the same […]
Mother’s day is this coming weekend. My husband usually forgets and then remembers after he sleeps in all day and apologizes the rest of the day. I usually get an awesome dinner though and seriously, I don’t mind! It means I don’t have to cook!

In the month of February I thought I was going into labor no less than 20 times. I was so miserable and uncomfortable that with every kick, twist, or cramp I just knew that this […]
Holidays just keep getting better and better. As Audrey grows, so does her ability to engage and appreciate different traditions at each holiday. This past weekend we celebrated a beautiful Easter with our family. We hunted Easter Eggs, played with family, talked and babbled all the way through church (this child was not very reverent!) […]
I recently heard on the radio parents giving advice for their children. That got me to thinking, if I could only leave one piece of advice for my child, what would it be?? I think it would be, “Be true to yourself and trust your instincts.”
So, no one told me how impossibly cute and amazingly challenging introducing food can be! Our little Audrey has entered a new phase – solid food. Boy, oh boy.
