Why Can’t School Be All Year Long?

I don’t know how to make it stop. I beg and use time outs like they are going out of style on a daily basis. This mother of four has hit a hurdle. My twins, 6.5-year-olds, not only fight with each other constantly but fight with the littles, too. Fight, wine, bicker, push, bite and […]

My Mother’s Day Wish List

Mother’s day is this coming weekend. My husband usually forgets and then remembers after he sleeps in all day and apologizes the rest of the day. I usually get an awesome dinner though and seriously, I don’t mind! It means I don’t have to cook!

I Am a Mom: 5 Things We Deal With That Others Can Avoid

“Oh don’t worry that’s not poop.” I was telling my mom this after she thought my youngest, Callie, exploded out her diaper and had brown all over her hands and up her sleeves. No big deal to me, I figured she found some chocolate in her carseat and ate away while we were on our […]

It’s a Busy, Busy Life

Whew. The holidays were nonstop. I stayed busy working with photography when I wasn’t busy planning our Thanksgiving Party, Christmas family photos, Christmas family party, Christmas eve party, and Christmas. Plus my son turned 3 on the 20th of December, my birthday was the 28th and we had a New Years Blast! I would wake […]

So Much To Do, So Little Time To Do It

Is it already only two weeks until Thanksgiving? I was for sure I would have all the time in the world this year to sit and enjoy the holidays because Thanksgiving wasn’t until super late in the month.  Insert major sigh. I am in way over my head this year. I have no idea what […]

Our twins had their first slumber party this weekend. I don’t remember my slumber parties being quite anything like this one went. They only had one friend over and I apologized to my own mom about 20 times after the friend went home. We were already invited to a Halloween costume party. Maybe it was […]

Renewed Outlook

I’ve been having depression days ever since I miscarried over the summer. I know I never met my baby and there are certain things you just cannot control, but sometimes I wonder how life would be with five children and how pregnant I would be right now if I still was carrying the baby. We […]

Football games, cool mornings, fog and changing leaf colors are upon us. What does that mean in the Chesney household? Grumpy kids with colds.

Sunshine Coming After Sick Times

Is it just me or do all children seem to get sick after starting school again? I’ve already had to keep one of my twins home for three days and the other for two days. They both have been sick which then carry to each other and then to the rest of the household.

Planning a Surprise Birthday Party

Planning lasted one night and then the birthday for our twin soon-to-be 6-year-old daughters was canceled. Planning a birthday party is stressful! Planning a twin surprise birthday party is double stressful! I have no idea how you moms plan party after party every year! Yikes!
