“Do small things with great Love” – Mother Theresa

I’m Brandie! Hi! I’m a 27-year-old wife and mommy of four.

That’s right, four kids, I said it and you read it! Ella, Amelia, Evan and Callie make up my world. It is a very wonderful, loving, exhausting and obnoxious world, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m a stay-at-home-mom who daily conquers mountains of laundry, endless sticky hand, and perfecting selective hearing of the word “mommy.”

Speaking of mommy, Mother’s day is this Sunday! I always have high hopes for Mother’s Day, whether it be spending the day with my mom or being able to sleep in, breakfast in bed, shopping, dinner made, no laundry, no dishes and just pure relaxation. A girl can dream, right?

None of these things will happen this Sunday in my household because of the chaos. I might get a Mother’s Day card though – handmade of course. I am almost positive that my husband has no clue where to find a card in a store. It’ll probably say “Roses are red, violets are blue, the kids have no cash, but we have plenty of glue.”

I also might get breakfast made for me, it will be done at lunch time though and I will get a ton of dishes to wash after. Maybe I should just tell them now to just make me coffee or pick me up Starbucks, please! They can even write “World’s Best Mom” on the side. I’ll take it and rejoice in the fact that we are still alive so far in our crazy little family of six.

I hope that all mothers out there have a well-deserved great day on Sunday. Happy Mother’s Day!
